December 2024: Small improvements & fixes

December 2024 updates include keyword improvements, new features like release templates and App Store Award icons, and numerous bug fixes.

Here’s everything we shipped in December 2024:

Keywords improvements

  • You can now easily see keywords from related languages.
  • When adding keywords, if you were adding a word that is a prefix of an existing word in the keyword list, it was flagged as a repeat.
  • Keywords sometimes had an additional comma.
  • We now highlight all the keywords that would still fit within your limit (and an option to filter them out).
  • We improved the AI prompt to generate and translate better keywords.

What’s New or Improved?

  • We’ve added the option to right-click the “Improve Text” button, allowing you to choose between team or personal perspectives.
  • You can now easily appeal any 4-star or lower reviews.
  • You can now set up Helm with API keys that have the App Manager role instead of Admin
  • Release Templates: It’s now easier than ever to create consistent release notes for your updates by using customizable release templates
  • We now show a little App Store Award icon next to your app if you’re one of the lucky winners.
  • We now set the locale to the correct language of each text field.
  • Added ways to follow our BlueSky account as well.
  • You can now change the position of a screenshot via the context menu (right-click).
  • Improved error message for when translations fail

What’s Fixed?

  • We have resolved the issue where Helm Pro would not load for users in China
  • We now make it more clear that In-App Purchases is coming instead of being disabled for no reason
  • We showed the What’s new in first version that’s live
  • Added help labels that show the full group name for TestFlight beta group labels.
  • Fixed another App Icon issue for tvOS apps.
  • We improved the AI prompt to generate and translate better text everywhere.
  • Fixed a bug that would prevent 6.9” iPhone screenshots from being accepted.
  • Fixed a bug that made Helm crash when adding certain screenshots.
  • You can now see all translations of Subtitle and Name no matter what.
  • We now highlight the actual error when present during onboarding.
  • Removed some unnecessary animations.

It’s far from finished, but we also shipped our very first update using Helm for iOS… Coming in 2025!
