Credentials via the Mac app App Group
You do not paste API keys into the terminal for day-to-day use. helm-asc talks to the signed-in Mac app through an App Group-backed connection, reusing the account setup and secrets Helm already protects in Keychain.
That keeps agent and script access aligned with the same organizations and apps you configured in the UI, including setup-file based access for teammates.
Built for agents
Pass --agent for structured JSON output with stable error codes. Install the bundled agent skill from Settings into Codex, Cursor, Claude, Xcode, or a folder of your choice so agents learn safe defaults: discover IDs first, prefer dry runs for bulk work, and stop when a human decision is required.

Do I need Helm running to use helm-asc?
helm-asc relies on the Mac app for account credentials through the App Group connection. Keep Helm installed and signed in with the accounts you want the CLI to use.
Is the CLI available without Pro?
No. Access to helm-asc requires Helm Pro. Free Helm still covers core UI workflows with submission and usage limits.
Can agents submit for App Review?
The CLI can create and submit App Store submissions as part of supported workflows. Treat review submission as a high-impact action: confirm metadata and builds in the app when stakes are high.
